Strong communication for improving first aid skills

To strengthen public awareness and confidence in first aid, we developed a new logo and website that clearly communicate the non-profit organisation’s mission, services and educational offerings.

RAISING AWARENESS ACROSS WIESBADEN AND THE SURROUNDING REGION

EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO FEEL CONFIDENT IN FIRST AID AND TAKE ACTION

is dedicated to empowering people to recognise emergency situations and respond effectively. Founded in 2012 as an expert network, the organisation has grown into a non-profit association bringing together interdisciplinary expertise — including medical professionals, emergency service representatives, legal experts, journalists and other advocates for emergency preparedness.

The more time has past since someone last attended a first aid course, the greater their uncertainty becomes. Acting correctly in a medical emergency requires both knowledge and the confidence to step in and help.

The organisation’s mission is to strengthen emergency response skills through training programs (particularly for students), public initiatives, health awareness events, as well as ongoing education and counselling.

visibility and information

Development of logo and website

Our role was to create a cohesive visual identity for the non-profit organization – from defining an initial design direction to developing the logo, colour palette, and key graphic elements. These were then translated into the design of a new website, with a strong focus on clearly presenting the organisation’s services and information in a structured and user-friendly way.

An important goal was to establish a positive and approachable tone around the topic of first aid. We aimed to highlight the human aspect while giving the content space to speak through a clean and easy-to-understand design. To achieve this, we subtly adapted classic medical colour schemes and combined them with warm red and violet tones. Hand-drawn graphic elements and the handwritten style of the logo add a personal and tangible feel to the overall design.

In addition to his work as a photographer, Michael handled the technical implementation of the website.

Insights from our

client

Wiesbaden lernt Erste Hilfe - Professsor Dr. Thomas Weber

Balancing complex subject matter with an accessible, memorable and easy-to-understand introduction to the topic of first aid was a key challenge for our homepage — and one that we were able to realize perfectly together with whywedo. Despite a tight timeline and limited resources, our expectations were more than exceeded.
