The team at Mental Health Crowd supports people in gaining confidence and clarity when dealing with mental health topics.
Mental health literacy
Although mental health conditions are among the most common illnesses worldwide, mental health is still widely stigmatized in society.
For many people, speaking openly about their emotional wellbeing, seeking support, or opening up to others remains a major barrier. As a result, those affected often feel isolated and left alone.
To address this gap, the social enterprise Mental Health Crowd GmbH opened Germany’s first Mental Health Café in December 2019 in collaboration with BERG & MENTAL. Designed as a welcoming space for connection and prevention, the café offered a safe and relaxed atmosphere where people could openly talk about mental health and take part in a wide range of activities such as regular workshops, talks and courses.
Unfortunately, the café had to close due to the pandemic. However, the Mental Health Crowd continues its important work in prevention and mental health education through many other initiatives.
“#mentalhealthawareness is the first step — but it’s not enough.
We help people feel confident and empowered when engaging with mental health.”
